Host: Gray-headed Coneflower is a host plant to caterpillars of the silvery checkerspot butterfly, wavy-lined emerald, and common eupithecia moth. 

Pollinators: Attracts bees such as cuckoos bees, lead-cutting bees, and green metallic bee.  Other visitors include wasps, flies, small butterflies, and beetles.  Goldfinches will eat the seeds. 

Other Information: Many beneficial insects, such as predators and parasitoids, are attracted to this plant to keep problem insect populations in balance.
