Obedient plant naturally occurs along river banks and swamps, but is drought tolerant and can handle poor drainage.  

It is a great late season nectar source for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.  Resistant to deer.  It can spread aggressively via roots, but they are easy to pull – share extra plants with friends and family!
